In 2008 Meg met Lorenda in the bathroom of a university residence while waiting for a shower to free up. After an awkward conversation (because neither of them like talking in bathrooms) they successfully became friends. Today they remain friends, book friends.


Meg Cuthbert

Meg has a degree in Creative Writing from the University of Victoria, which certifies her to do nothing. Currently she's an intern with Shaw TV in Victoria (and no, this blog has nothing to do with them). When she isn't writing sassy reviews for books, she's being sassy over at DinosaurPharmacy.

Her favourite book is Philip Pullman's "Count Karlstein" yes, it's a childrens book, get over yourself.

When wearing a mustache it is said that she looks just like her father.



Lorenda Calvert

Lorenda has an awesome degree in History from the University of British Columbia. She kicks ass and takes names as the Education and Public Programs Assistant at the City of Surrey Museum (she doesn't literally kick anyone).

She is a huge fan of series because she hates endings and is still mourning the 6 page epilogue of Harry Potter. That's not enough Rowling!

Lorenda is an excellent gift giver.







Their combined goal is to review books and have a hilarious time. If there's a book you think we should read let us know! If you're interested in reviewing books with us also let us know. One day we'll have a terms and conditions thing so that we can legally cover our asses, but until then just stay cool, unless we're friends then send us some stuff!
